There is a HP LaserJet 4050 Series network printer available for use at CINC. To use it, add a network printer with IP address:

  128.138.225.99

Windows Installation:

Note to Windows users: This printer is not actually considered a network printer.

  • Go to the printer wizard
  • select "local printer attached to this computer"
  • uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play Printer"
  • click next
  • click "Create a new port" and select "Standard TCP/IP port" as Type of Port:
  • enter IP address above
  • For printer type choose HP / HP LaserJet 4050 Series PS

It is important to choose the option with the suffix "PS" instead of PCL5 or PCL6 so that duplex (double-sided) printing is possible. If you do not see this option then you should select "Windows Update" if available.
